Known Limitations
1. macOS App Sandbox Restrictions
To comply with Apple's security requirements, the Mac App Store version of the application runs in an App Sandbox environment. By default, the application cannot read or write to arbitrary folders on your computer.
- Symptom: The app might prompt that it cannot access a folder or trigger an error when importing external assets, scanning, or switching libraries if the target directory is not authorized.
- Solution: When creating or importing an asset library for the first time, please explicitly select and authorize the target directory in the system folder picker popup. If permissions are lost, you can re-authorize it in the "Settings" page.
2. External API & Extension Constraints
- API Key Configuration: The TinyPNG image compression and AI-powered tag/description generation features require you to manually configure your own API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Azure, TinyPNG, etc.) in the "Settings" page before they can be used.
- Platform Feature Differences: Due to platform store review policies, the AI integration settings and compression config pages are not available in the Steam version. These features are fully supported and configurable in the Microsoft Store and App Store builds.
