Installation & Launch (Installation)
Sharp Stock is a professional asset management application tailored for game developers. To ensure you receive the most stable and secure automatic update experience, this product is distributed through major mainstream app stores.
1. Operating Environment
Windows Platform
- Operating System: Windows 10 or higher.
- Minimum: Dual-core Intel or AMD processor at 2.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM, a DirectX 11 compatible GPU, and 2 GB of available disk space.
- Recommended: Windows 11, quad-core Intel or AMD processor at 3.0 GHz or higher, 8 GB RAM, a DirectX 12 / DirectML compatible GPU, and 5 GB of available disk space. 16 GB RAM is recommended for the full AI matting model and batch processing.
- AI Matting: Offline AI background removal models require an additional download of about 120–500 MB. Without a compatible GPU, processing uses the CPU and may be slower.
- Environment Dependencies: The application includes built-in SVN core components. You do not need to install a third-party SVN client; you can use team collaboration features directly after installation.
macOS Platform
- Operating System: macOS 10.15 or higher.
- Environment Dependencies: The application includes built-in SVN core components (for Apple Silicon / arm64 architecture). You do not need to install a third-party SVN client; you can use team collaboration features directly after installation.

Lite / Steam Demo
- How to Get: The Lite version is available for free through Microsoft Store Lite, Mac App Store Lite, and Itch.io Lite. Steam provides a free version named Sharp Stock Demo, available from the Steam store page.
- Limitations:
- Asset Quota: The Lite build and Steam Demo limit you to a maximum of 100 assets (including non-asset file formats). When your database reaches 100 assets, importing new files, copying clipboard images, auto-splitting sprites, and packing atlases will be intercepted, showing an "Upgrade" guide modal.
- Seamless Upgrade: You can check your asset usage status via the "Settings -> About" panel. After clicking "Upgrade to Full Version", Microsoft Store Lite, Mac App Store Lite, and Steam Demo direct you to the full version on their own platform; Steam Demo opens the full Steam store page through the Steam overlay. Windows Lite and Mac Lite downloaded from the website or Itch.io keep the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Mac App Store upgrade entries.
- Channel Label: The "Settings -> About" panel shows the current limited-edition distribution channel, such as Microsoft Store Lite, Steam Demo, or App Store Lite. Update prompts also use the matching channel page.
- Platform Constraints & Features:
- In the Steam full build and Steam Demo, Tinify image compression uses local Squoosh. The API-key-based TinyPNG mode, AI auto-tagging, and AI description generation are not provided. Choose the Microsoft Store or Mac App Store edition if you need those external API features.
3. Launch Instructions

- macOS: Click the icon in the "Launchpad" to start.
- Steam: Click the "Play" button in your Steam library to launch.
