Interface Layout Overview

Sharp Stock features an intuitive "three-column" layout combined with a versatile top action bar, designed to provide artists and planners with an efficient and convenient asset management experience.

The interface consists of four primary functional areas:

1. Top Bar

The top bar is located above the central view and integrates core features for global search, filtering, and sorting.

  • Smart Search Box:
    • Unified Input: The search box accepts text, pasted images, or images dragged in from your computer. The search method is chosen automatically based on the content — text for keyword search, or an image for reverse image search (with a thumbnail and filename preview in the box).
    • Scope Configuration: Click the arrow button () next to the Search button to open a small floating menu, then freely combine the search dimensions Filename, Note (Description), and Tag.
    • For advanced tips, refer to Search & Filter.
  • Filter Panel:
    • Click the "Filter" icon to the right of the search bar to filter by File Type (e.g., Spine, Audio, Image, Folder) or File Size.
    • Active filters appear as tags, which can be removed individually or reset all at once.
  • Sort Mode:
    • Supports sorting assets in the grid by various logics, including filename, modification date, and file size.

2. Left Sidebar

The left sidebar is the core of the asset library's navigation, providing a tree-structured hierarchy and global action entries.

Left Sidebar

  • Folder Tree:
    • Displays the complete physical directory structure of the asset library.
    • Collaboration Status Indicators: Supports displaying SVN modified, conflict, or update status icons on folders.
  • Team Collaboration Actions:
    • Commit: Opens the global commit panel to upload all local changes in the library.
    • Update: Pulls the latest resource versions from the SVN server to your local machine.
  • Settings Center:
    • Click the ⚙ icon at the top of the left sidebar to open. Used to configure version control, AI services, tagging systems, image processing options, and Switch Current Library. See the Settings Guide for details.

3. Main View Area

This is the core interaction area of the application, used for browsing the asset grid and monitoring library status.

Middle View Area

  • Asset Grid:
    • Features a responsive card layout, automatically generating high-definition thumbnails for all asset types (Spine animations, images, audio, atlases, etc.).
    • Supports Multi-select operations (Ctrl/Shift + Click) for batch tagging, moving, or deleting.
  • Convenient Interaction:
    • Drop external files or folders on the Asset Grid to import them, or drop an image on the top search box to use it as a reverse-image-search reference. The two targets highlight separately so you can confirm the destination before dropping.
  • Status Bar:
    • Statistics: Real-time display of total filtered assets and the number of selected items.
    • Display Options: Provides switches for "Show Unknown Types" and "Flatten Subfolder Assets" for quick global previews.

4. Right Detail Panel

The right sidebar provides in-depth information on the selected asset, interactive preview playback, and metadata editing functions.

Right Sidebar

  • Full-Featured Preview (Live Preview): See Asset Preview for details.
    • Spine Player: Built-in professional player supporting skin switching and animation playback.
    • Media Playback: Provides complete playback controls for audio and video assets.
    • Atlas Parsing: Supports direct display of all sub-regions (Regions) contained within a texture atlas.
  • Asset Information Management:
    • Basic Properties: Displays filename, storage path, resolution/duration, and modification date.
    • Tag System: Supports adding/managing tags for assets and provides AI Auto-Tagging (not available in the Steam build).
    • Notes (Description): Allows for detailed textual descriptions and supports AI Smart Description Generation (not available in the Steam build).
    • Professional Image Editing: Enabled when an image resource is selected. See Image Tools for details.
    • Rotate & Flip: Provides 90° lossless rotation and horizontal/vertical mirroring.
    • Resize: Supports adjusting width and height via presets or custom values, with aspect ratio locking.
    • Tinify: Reduces PNG file size with local Squoosh or TinyPNG. The Steam build uses Squoosh; other channels can also select TinyPNG with a user-provided API key.
  • Background Task Indicator:
    • Located at the bottom of the right detail panel, automatically hidden when there are no ongoing background tasks.
    • Smoothly slides in when background tasks are running (such as AI Search Index Rebuilding or Incremental Index Sync on asset changes).
    • Hover over the ⓘ icon on the left to see the current task name and progress percentage. The progress bar on the right reflects real-time progress, and automatically fades out once the task finishes.
